For Authors
Submit ManuscriptThe Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law welcomes the submission of articles, notes, and recent development pieces from judges, academics, practicing lawyers, and students. There is no limit on article length, but we aim to publish articles that can be read in one sitting. We accept student notes from students at the University of Texas School of Law and all other U.S. law schools.
We strongly prefer to receive electronic submissions that are uploaded as editable word documents (e.g., .doc or .docx rather than .pdf). In addition, it is helpful for us if you include the word count on your submission. If you have any questions or concerns, please email our Director of Submissions at submissionsdirector@tjogel.org. We look forward to reviewing your submission.
TJOGEL accepts submissions on a rolling basis, and we encourage authors to submit an article as early as possible to ensure there is still space available. If authors expect their submission to be ready on or close to the deadline, they should communicate with us as soon as possible and provide a working draft so that we can work with the author regarding the submission process.
